New visitor center and maintenance building for Burgess Falls State Park
The proposed project consists of the construction of a new Visitor's Center, Maintenance Building, with parking lots and utilities for both. The project will include stripping of topsoil, grading of the site, installation of utilities, and construction of the buildings, sites, utilities, and parking lots. As soon as all grading activities have been completed, the lawn areas will be stabilized with topsoil, seed and mulch or sod. The construction will disturb approximately 3.3 acres. Should fill material be required, it shall be borrowed from a TDEC permitted site. Excess earthen material should be wasted off site at a TDEC permitted site. If the borrow or waste site is used solely by the project outlined in this plan, the site is considered to be part of this project. This plan must be amended to include the site and the erosion prevention and sediment control at that location will also be the responsibility of the contractor.
