The Tennessee Department of Transportation is proposing to construct a new five (5) lane facility, S.R. 449 EXT (Veterans Blvd) from S.R. 35 to Robert Henderson Road (IA) in Sevier County. The proposed project involves the extension of S.R. 449 (Veteran’s Boulevard) north of S.R. 35 (Dolly Parton Parkway) to Robert Henderson Road. The proposed project would involve the construction of a new bridge over the West Prong of the Little Pigeon River. Additionally, the proposed project would include the removal of the existing Robert Henderson Road bridge over the Little Pigeon River, just west of the proposed new bridge over the West Prong of the Little Pigeon River.
