Moratorium

WWTP OverloadEFO CommunicationPer email from Jordan Fey--As we discussed on the phone, at this time there appears to be insufficient documentation to hold the Harpeth Wastewater Cooperative’s Berry’s Chapel STP under a moratorium. While the facility continues to violate effluent limitations, file review conducted by myself and previously by Wade Murphy did not reveal any orders or permit stipulations at this time requiring a moratorium. There was a letter requiring the facility to achieve 90 days of under 3 mg/L discharge for Total Nitrogen, which they have since achieved. The permit does require a 125,000 GPD reserve capacity for several subdivisions with failing septic systems that have since been attached to different sewer systems, and allows the Division to reallocate this flow if deemed appropriate.
