Treatment of municipal sewage; Reissue with expanded design capacity proposes to replace the 38 year-old, 3.44 MGD, extended aeration activated sludge process with a 7.0 MGD, 4-basin, sequencing batch reactor process, effluent equalization, disc filtration and ultraviolet light disinfecting to maintain existing loadings of oxygen-demanding pollutants and realize higher levels of nutrient removal. Incidental degradation that may still result in spite of the higher level of treatment will not result in pollution and is justified to support area-wide residential and industrial growth.
