Notes
Cross Connection Program needs improvement. Chicken houses that are required to have backflow preventers have not been inspected and tested as required. The chicken house owners have resisted having backflow testers on site due to biosecurity concerns. Pikeville's cross connection ordinance allows up to $1,000 in fines and/or disconnect for non-compliance.
Cross connection program- needs to evaluate area churches, restaurants (Subway), new manufacturing facilities for cross connection hazards. Development of a master list to track compliance was recommended.
Brockdale tank has a problem with erosion. The site should be stabilized to prevent damage to the tank.
