On the above date, Mr. Ben Matthews and I went to the PCA paper mill located in Counce, TN, to witness the annual calibration of the effluent flow meter. We met with Mr. William R. (Robin) Ashe, Environmental Manager, and we drove to the effluent flow meter channel, where we joined Mr. Josh Tidwell, Environmental Engineer, and two instrument technicians, who conducted the calibration of their 42” Foxboro magnetic flow meter. Based on the three separator “runs” that were conducted; the meter appeared to be well within the limits specified by Foxboro. However, as in the past, the results will be summarized and submitted to this office within the next few days. After completing the calibration, we also took the opportunity to conduct a general inspection of the wastewater treatment ponds, the sludge drying fields, and observe Outfall 001 at the Tennessee River.
