LCK and CLC met with Walt Hillis and Brad Kroeger of Blue Water Industries for a site inspection, particularly focusing on the proposed modifications. (2 ponds to be removed, 1 outfall to be removed, 1 forebay to be added, 1 SW outfall to be added) Watersheds from both ponds to be removed and 1 associated outfall will become pit area as quarry expands. Forebay will make pond maintenance/clean-out easier. SW outfall is representative of drainage from new haul road/construction of haul road. BMPs are in place and appropriate for road construction and protection of nearby stream. Modifications are to accommodate expanding pit on northside of Centenary Rd and reopening of pit on southside of Centenary Rd. No discharges from any outfalls, only 1 discharge from site in past 2 years. Site was in compliance and well-maintained at the time of the inspection.
