Inspection was two-fold. 1st OSMRE complaint inspection on outfall 002. 2nd pre-mine inspection on requested permit modification for the elimination of outfall 03C.
Outfall 002 was not meeting effluent limitations for manganese (lab Mn = 16mg/L). Failure to pproperly operate & maintain the pump back / maelstrom treatment circuit had caused the stream to violate narrative water quality criteria.
Outfall 03C was not discharging and the modification seems to be an appropriate request.
