Outdoor gas tanks are currently being kept outside for the construction crew. hay bales have been placed around them with a plastic liner. Construction will be going on for the next 6-8 months. It is recommended that a more effective barrier (example: gravel berm) be installed. Evidence of a gas leak and/or spill on the top of the tank can be seen and running down the side. Quarterly visuals have not been able to get a sample due to no discharge within the first 30 minutes of a rain event. However, it should be within the first 30 minutes of the discharge. SWPPP is missing certification for presence of non-stormwater discharge.
