Notes
Site visit to conduct water treatment plant walk through with Claiborne UD staff. Mike Petty and George Coots were in attendance for Claiborne UD. Matt Hatfield was present representing Hatfield & Allen. The previous night, the Clear Fork UD board let the Certified Operator in Direct Charge go. Claiborne UD agreed to provide certified operators until another individual could be hired and trained. New lab equipment was needed and automatic shut-down capabilities were discussed. Mr. Hatfield was to recommend to the Clear Fork board that they move forward with the Westech recommendation of updating the control panel from analog to digital and replace valves and actuators. Found continuous chlorine residual monitor and combined effluent turbidimeter not maintained by previous operator. No indication that the Oakton pH stick was used as it was sitting in a beaker of buffer solution that had debris floating in it. The high service pump was leaking excessively. Mike Petty was to repair it the following day (Saturday). Ken Mazingo had agreed to stay on for the time being and help run the water treatment plant.
