Notes
All areas associated with the Wye Track appeared to be sufficiently stable, and therefore will not need to be covered under the proposed CGP coverage. Areas around the Loop Track were mostly very well-vegetated, including Outfall 34. There was very minor, sporadic gullying, mostly in areas covered by Weeping Love Grass. The side slopes of Sediment Basin 4/Permanent Basin 3 were mostly well-vegetated. There were minor unstable areas on some of the top slopes around the basin. The side slopes of Sediment Basin 1/Permanent Basin 4 had minor gullying on some slopes, but were mostly well-vegetated. All areas around the Lead Track, south of SR 57, appeared to be stable with vegetation up to Outfall 9. Sediment Basin 8 had been decommissioned and converted to a drainage ditch. The east ditch was stable from light post 132 northward. The basin around Pipe 12 had sparse vegetation on the bottom. Water in Sediment Basin 3/Permanent Basin 2/Outfall 31 was mostly clear. Some of the slopes in the basin were gullied, however. Water in Sediment Basin 2/Permanent Basin 1 was mildly to moderately turbid. However, the water is treated prior to release according to Ms. Hagerty, consultant for Norfolk Southern Railroad. All areas that remain unstable when Individual NPDES Construction Stormwater Permit number TN0081108 expires on December 31, 2013, will be managed under the construction general permit going into 2014.
