Thank you for accompanying me on my complaint investigation and TNCGP inspection of your above reference site on August 6, 2024. (Included is a copy of the NPDES Compliance Inspection Form generated from this inspection.)
It was noted that control measures were in place at this site but needed maintenance in various locations and additional reinforcements in other locations. It was noted that some additional sediment has been lost just a few feet beyond your silt fences at a couple of locatons but no additional sediment was found to be lost to the spring or wetlands [which you already have an approved Corrective Action Plan (CAP) for clean up]. You reported that twice-weekly inspections were already being perfomed at this site by a certified inspector even though your permit application is still under review and your permit coverage has not yet been issued. And as we discussed onsite, this inspector had been missing maintenance issues that should have been reported to you. We also discussed the maintenance and additional needed control issues onsite and you stated you would be working to correct them. We appreciate your attention to these matters.
Please note that all sediment lost beyond controls from this site should be removed at a frequency to minimize offsite impacts, but in no case later than the stream remediation deadline of September 2, 2024.
