Notes
Joint inspection with Dale Jayne, Maryville MS4, to provide technical assistance after a large flood event. Travis Fuller (permittee) and Ed Shore (contractor) met with us briefly on-site but did not stay for the full walk through inspection. Most of the issues are along the North end of the property. Silt fence needs to be replaced in several areas. Recommending reinforced silt fence along the sediment basin where the silt fence has been installed at the toe of slope. Several issues need to be address immediately regarding the sediment basin. Large amounts of sediment have eroded into the West and East side of the basin. This is causing the sediment basin to fill up and no longer have the appropriate capacity it was originally designed for. There are also multiple areas near the outfall structure of the pond that have formed gullies. There are concerns for a blow-out of the pond if this is not addressed immediately. The pond needs to be stabilized as well. This has been stressed multiple times. Per the CGP all areas that have been inactive for 14 days (7 days for steep slopes) must be stabilized. An engineer site assessment is needed for this site to assess pond structure/capacity and all other EPSCs.
