Approximately 2.5 feet of freeboard in lagoon. Five barns housing approximately 940 hogs, greater than 55 lbs., in each barn. No fence around lagoon. Outer levee banks need to be maintained more frequently.Woody vegetation noted on past inspections still growing on west side of lagoon levee near the toe of the bank. Tree roots can promote piping and lead to levee breach. Levee was recently bushhogged indicating that high weeds have been present for some time and this casts doubt on the veracity of the facility levee inspection records. Spray disposal of stored wastes should be implemented ASAP. Pump marker does not appear to be accurately installed to indicate pumping stressors (ie. start pumping, stop pumping and lowest point on levee). Spray disposal records not expressed in units of volume. They are recorded in duration of spray at a given RPM.
