Notes
There were 27 collection system overflows during the period March 1, 2010 through February 28, 2011. Flow figures reported during the same period revealed excessive I&I. McKenzie has installed flow meters in key lift stations to identify sources of I&I & routinely secures funding to perform maintenance on sections of the collection system.
The influent pump station high water alarm is out of service. The traveling bridge portion of the sludge digester has broken down. Turbulence in the number two aeration basin indicates a problem with the aerators. Sludge and other solids were seen floating in the chlorine contact chamber. Eighteen lift stations were inspected during the inspection. The stations at Booker, Cole, David, Airport and the wastewater plant laboratory each were operating with one of their two pumps out of service. The Booker, Keco and Airport stations were found to have check valve problems. Several of the stations also had an excess amount of grease in the wet wells.
