NARRATIVE STATEMENT:
On June 14, 2022, Jennifer Dulin and Jennifer Innes of the Division of Water Resources (DWR) conducted a compliance inspection at the above referenced facility. They met with Mr. William Rasmussen and Mr. Mark Brown, both of whom provided information during the inspection. All activity is performed within the permitted boundary.
Monthly Discharge Monitoring Reports (DMRs) are submitted electronically to NetDMR. Three years of reports were reviewed prior to the inspection. No effluent limitation exceedances have occurred. Electronic documents are maintained onsite. Visual inspections of BMPs are performed, as required by the permit.
Water tank trucks are used for dust suppression. Inspectors observed surface water being routed into the main quarry sump pit. Dewatering of the quarry sump pit occurs as needed. Stockpile side slopes appeared stabilized. Structural controls and BMPs appeared adequate. No pollutants were observed leaving the site.
Inspectors observed permitted Outfall 001 was discharging. No objectionable color contrast, visible floating scum, oil, or other matter was observed in the wastewater discharge. During the inspection, Outfall 002 appeared dry.
