The company leases 35 acres of land from DuPont. The outfalls are on DuPont's site and therefore the company has no outfalls on their site and therefore does not do monthly visual examinations. The company has good records of a recent spill and followed their SWPPP protocol. They have no chemicals stored outside, and their one tank not in the building is in secondary containment in a smaller building. There were no observed issues on the grounds outside. We recommend that Sontara obtain the monthly outfall inspection reports to keep in their files.
