Notes
Site visit in response to questions by Terry Sossong to Bryan Epperson and Daniel Lawrence concerning filling an area within the permit boundary. Matt Harris and Daniel Lawrence visited on the morning of 8/25/17 to determine whether separate monitoring location would be required. Based on the existing and planned BMPs around the fill area, it is not expected that storm water will leave the permit boundary at an unpermitted location. Daniel and Matt discussed options with Mr. Sossong if a discernible discharge were to develop. Fill area is entirely within the existing permit boundary.
Inspectors noted an asphalt plant being built directly across the road from Stones River quarry. While not associated with the quarry, it is believed that this construction activity has been the source of several recent complaints concerning rumors of expanding the quarry.
