Met with Gary Doss and Josh Hill at 8 am. Discussed requirements to update MSSL and add new sites for Lead and Copper sampling due by September 30, 2022. Had some concerns about the certified operator's ability to use reasonable care and judgement so I returned at 3 pm and tested chlorine in the distribution system. Chlorine was below 0.2 mg/l at Dollar General, Municipal Building and the entry point to the distribution system. The continuous chlorine analyzer was reading 1.1 mg/l but was only getting 0.09 mg/L at the sample sink. Mr. doss worked on the chlorinator and we were able to get the chlorine to 1.1 mg/L at the entry point to the DS. Asked Josh Hill to flush at the ends of the system to get the residual back up.
