Notes
Assisted Fleming Training Center staff regarding the facility's recent increase in foam throughout the facility. Filaments were observed, and a sample was taken back to the Fleming Training Center for identification. Recommended reducing the STP's F/M ratio to resolve the filament issue. Friable white solids were observed within the activated sludge samples as well. The foam only appeared in areas with agitation, e.g., disk rotors. Effluent leaving the plan was clear and free of solids. Foam was developing d/s of the Outfall in turbulent areas.
