ARAP Compliance Inspection - Mining
In Compliance
ARAP inspection with Bonnie Craighead and Kevin Hembree of TDEC. The facility has stopped all mining activity and has regraded and seeded the former highwall.

Since the mining and stream restoration activities at the site did not proceed as proposed in the ARAP application, the facility needs to quantify the total amount of impacts to jurisdictional waters of the state that occurred at the facility and provide a revised mitigation plan to offset these impacts. The revised mitigation plan needs to demonstrate that there will be no net loss of aquatic resources at the site. The quantification of the total impacts to jurisdictional waters and the revised mitigation plan should be submitted to the TDEC DWR Mining Section by the July 5, 2022 if the facility is to remain in compliance with the ARAP program.
