Returned to facility to see what progress had been made in correcting the problems from the day before . They had removed five loads of activated sludge from the treatment plant and trucked it to Greeneville WWTP. The solids were removed at the sludge return pumps. The sludge in the settling basin had gone down to five feet from fourteen feet. The color and odor had of the solids had started to return to normal. The task of tracking the source of the suspected sludge discharge had begun.
