Notes
Henning's operator, Cordell Walton, and I discussed procedures for completing the MOR.
According to Bryant Bondurant, Henning's HCR system is designed to adjust lagoon effluent flow based on the flow in Alston Creek. Cordell said there is an "actuator valve" that should perform that function but is not working. I instructed him to see that the valve is repaired, to learn all about the HCR system and to be able to make it work the way it was designed to.
There is some debris in the creek above and below the weir and creek flow meter that should be removed. Cordell and I checked flow figures and determined the ratio of creek flow to lagoon flow to be 6.5 to 1 which is well within permit requirements.
