Pre-mine inspection in response to questions and statements received during public notice period. Inspection with Craig Almanza (BFI). No change since last inspection. Existing pit still holding water (clear) with several feet of freeboard left. No discharge noted from site. No erosion issues noted. All water was contained to proposed permit area and directed to the treatment structure (pit storage). Approximately 1.5" of rainfall during previous 48 hours. Ditch line to the east of the permit boundary (referenced in public comment) was walked and was dry. Permittee requested that the inspection report note the absence of hydric soils. Soils were checked within the ditch at the SE NPDES permit boundary.
