I met with Roger Jenkins at Michie's water treatment plant. He told me John Shaw had retired.
I found the back levee of the settling pond had deteriorated. Roger told me a contractor had dug into it and removed a large amount of unsatisfactory material. It was rebuilt but the new material has not held very well and much of it has sloughed off. Roger is keeping the level of the pond as low as possible to avoid putting unnecessary pressure on the levee. So far it is holding and does not appear to be in danger of collapsing.
