Notes
Site visit following customer complaint investigation about discolored water and high chlorine residuals. Plant was in operation at the time of the visit and certified operator was on-site. Discussed work that had been completed and planned work for addressing high iron levels in the finished water. Certified operator pointed out a solution water leak in the chlorine feed room that had resulted in approximately 2" of water standing on the floor. Certified operator indicated that the leak would be repaired within the next few days. Noted that the continuous chlorine analyzer was not providing accurate readings. Chlorine analyzer showed 2.49 mg/L while Division test equipment running high range method showed 5.1 mg/L. Certified operator test results using low range method and dilution calculated level at 3.475 mg/L. Notified certified operator to begin using high range method.
