Notes
The permit became effective on September 1, 2022, and will expire on August 31, 2027. A copy of the current permit is kept on file at Adenus’ central office. Quarterly Monthly Operation Reports (MORs) submitted to the Division of Water Resources (Division) from October 2021 to September 2024 were reviewed. Effluent samples delivered to Microbac Laboratories in October 2021, May 2022, and January 2023 were delivered with receiving temperatures exceeding 6.0 degrees Celsius. Samples cannot exceed 6.0 degrees Celsius. No effluent violations were observed for the facility and sampling is occurring at the required frequencies for each parameter. Adenus currently utilizes Waypoint Laboratories as its contract lab.
The facility has the ability to utilize ultraviolet disinfection but it is currently not in use. This is acceptable with the current permit given the drip field is entirely restricted with fencing. The effluent going to the drip field was clear and free of solids and did not have a noticeable odor. The drip area was enclosed by chain-link and high-tensile fencing with locked entry gates. The drip field area was overgrown with tall vegetation preventing the Division from observing the entire drip field. One area within zone 2, near the northwestern permitter of the drip field, had localized dry algae and recent soil works for a leak investigation.
The drip field must be maintained where investigations, maintenance, and potential repairs can occur.
