Notes
Since December 2023, Electrolux has implemented its “Titan” treatment line in which process wastewater is recycled and no longer discharges into the City’s collection system and eventual treatment. Distillate is collected in non-hazardous totes and sent to the Bi-County Landfill. As such, this facility is now considered a zero-discharge IU and only discharges sanitary sewage to the City. a zero-discharge permit was issued on Oct. 5th, 2024 with a zero-discharge certification statement on file. Local limits needs to be re-evaluated as this facility provided over 75% of the city's treatment of industrial influent.
TAS Environmental pH Equalization of waste streams is a significant phase in this facility’s treatment of wastewater. During the site visit, the Division discovered all pH standards had expired in 2019 and 2020. The facility operations manager, Mr. Blake Paul, informed the Division the staff member who conducts pH testing was not available to address our findings. The Division recommends that the CA examine the IU’s pH buffers during site inspections. Requested proof of the facility acquiring new pH standards.
