Notes
A follow-up inspection of High pointe and Grand Villas on March 31, 2008 revealed a stream between the 2 developments was slugged with sediment from both sites. This stream was noted during inspections in August 2007 during an extreme drought to be flowing down the bluff. An unpermitted stream crossing was noted upstream of the sediment slug. Aquatic organisms noted upstream of the crossing were midges, red worms, hellgramites and caddis fly larvae. The sediment was observed flowing over the waterfall to the Tennessee River. More towards the dam, in High Pointe, sediment had passed the log piles and silt fences above the boat docks into the river in several locations. Grand Villas also lost sediment into Boyer Branch at the boat ramp. Neither site has TNCGP coverage.
