Bill (Oakley) Hall, John Newberry, and I met with Jacob Burke at Jamestown WWTP. Mr. Burke showed us to their recently approved land application sites Choate #3 and the Gary Wright farm. He also showed us a previously approved Choate site right by the treatment plant and a site Upchurch where they had recently applied biosolids. We discussed all potential setbacks such as drains and waterways and unsuitable slopes were identified. It appeared that Mr. Burke had good contact with site owners so they were able to communicate when grazing should be halted 30 days following land application. Mr. Burke informed us of a recent purchase of a new liquid spreader truck that should increase the efficiency of their biosolid land application efforts.
