This vacuum collection system, lagoon treatment & spray irrigaion system has been in operaton for just over 30 yr.
Certain aspects of the CS are showing their age but are kept in working order through the diligence of the chief operator.
The lagoons are well operated with the 1st cell probably needing some solids removal in the next year or so.
Minor problems were noted in the spray irrigation areas.
About 1 of 3 spray heads in the old spray area were either stiff or would not turn.
There were also some areas of vegetation growth suggesting flows near the edge of the field.
It was suggested that the application times be shortened.
In the new spray area 2 closed depressions were noted that require operational changes.
At one location a spray head should be changed to 3/4 rotation & another spray head in a depression should be taken out of service.
Problem in cold weather w/risers in new spray area freezing, need a way for system to drain after dosing.
