I met with Steve Hensley, Benton-Decatur's operator at his Lexington WWTP office to discuss the ongoing effluent flow measurement problem. Steve has tried everything he knows to do. The vendor has tried everything he knows to do, including replacing the meter with a new one and reconfiguring the discharge line. Steve said he was ready to assume that for some reason a mag meter would never work and that he would talk to the chairman of the utility district about installing an utrasonic. I received voice mail from Steve on 12/05/11 saying he was turning the problem over to Benton-Decatur's consultant and that he expects the mag meter to be removed and an ultrasonic installed. He said a letter of explanation would accompany the next monthly report.
