At the time of inspection, this facility was housing approximately 3800 hogs well over 55 pounds each in four barns with the wastes treated in a single stage lagoon. There was over two feet of freeboard in the lagoon and the levee was well maintained. There were warning signs posted on all four sides of the lagoon. The wastes are dispersed by traveling reel and gun. All of the records required by the current permit are being maintained with the addition of rainfall records. The sampling kit contained all of the different sample containers for sampling in the event of a discharge.
