Complaint Description and Writeup
Complaint Description and Writeup
Ms. Gregory called on Aug 5th, 2016. She stated she had concerns about the water provided to her residence by the Wartrace Water System. She stated the water smelled "earthy" or musty. Also, she stated that it had left an orange stain in one toilet bowl. I visited the residence on Aug 8th. Samples were collected and were negative for total coliform, ph=7.29, iron=0.02 mg/L, manganese = 0.009 mg/L. Samples were analyzed by the Duck River Utility Commission water plant laboratory. Ms. Gregory stated that the condition had been going on for years since the change over from the Cascade Spring to Tullahoma water (DRUC). No odor was verified during the visit, home owner had run several loads of laundry that morning. Also, a stain was visible but not very dark and may be due to iron issues in the past but do not appear to be a continuing issue.
