Mr. Ed Mullins, City of Elizabethton reported a force main line leak near Quail Hollow Court (located approximately 600 feet from the road). The leak is from a air relief valve on the force main line. "One calls" have been placed to locate all underground utilities and Elizabethton personnel are figuring how to access the line. A written report will be submitted to the Johnson City EFO. The report received on 11-6-17 indicated, "Our crews reported that, on November 3rd at approximately 10:00 A.M. that they were called in reference to a report of a sewer leak in a remote area of the Quail Hollow Court Subdivision. The crews reported that the leak was approximately 600 feet from the main road. The leak was reported to be intermittent and coming from an air relief valve on a force main. This force main discharges to the Powder Branch Pump Station and no one knew how long it had been leaking. The crews reported the repair was completed on Monday, November 6th, by approximately 2:30 P.M. The crews reported that the ground around the relief valve, approximately 10 ft. by 10 ft., was saturated with sewer water and the amount of overflow was unknown. Our crews reported that any debris from the overflow was cleaned up."
