Complaint Description and Writeup
Complaint Description and Writeup
Complainant stated that the Drinking Water Plant is allowing a leak of chlorine used for disinfection to discharge to Mossy Creek. Complainant stated that approximately 500 gals per day of chlorine leaks from the plants chlorine generator. Complainant states that samples of water from the stream have been taken and show positive chlorine results. Also states that the chemical is causing corrosion in the chemical room and produces chlorine gas which makes it hazardous for workers to be in the room. (Complainant was informed that TOSHA would be more able to address worker safety and health issues.)
