Complaint Description and Writeup
Complaint Description and Writeup
We have flooded many times over the 45 yrs we've lived here but the flooding has increased dramatically along with the damage. Recently we have had a geyser of sewage shooting up in the front yard. The people we have contacted have not been consistent in their help nor professional. The people that come at night are flip with their explaination and don't follow through. They took 10 days to come and cover a 25 by 4 foot strip of human waste right in front of our front walkway and front door. The only explanation that made sense to me was the flood water pushed into the sewer because some were not lined correctly. The last flood we found human waste behind our refrigerate and in the back of the closets as we started repairs. Under the flooring there was a disgusting smell. I think we are up for buyout but I never feel like it will happen. We are 74 and 73 with open heart surgery and ablation surgery (and my husband is a fully disabled veteran and can barely walk) and our son was found dead during the last flood. It has been extremely hard. I contacted EPA because we couldn't get the help we needed from Metro. I know its not an easy solution but I would appreciate honesty and follow through. Covering human waste with straw does not stop the runoff into the ditch that goes under the interstate. We have given a lot in our lifetime and deserve better.
Thank you for your time.
07-Mar-22 Metro investigated and reported back to DWR. Michael,
I wanted to give you an update on 5971 Port Anadarko Trail. Yesterday the crew walked the trunk and pulled manholes to check for any restrictions. They found a partial blockage several manholes downstream from this address on the other side of I-40. Today we cleaned and televised from Port Anadarko downstream.
The supervisor onsite checked for any solids in their yard and did not see any under the straw. He had the straw raked up and the cleanup redone anyway.
The supervisor onsite said that the property is served in the front on the high side.
I will update you if we find any other issues during our downstream investigations.
