Complaint Description and Writeup
Complaint Description and Writeup
Complaint: There is a PS on the back corner of their property. The area around the PS & chemical tank stays wet
even in the summer. Trees around PS are dying. She is concerned that toxic chemicals could be leaking. ***
On 2/19/14, MRT called Clarksville Gas & Water & spoke w/Tim Roby who oversees PS operation. They replaced a pump at this PS on 2/12/14 due to a noisy bearing. Prior to that the chemical storage tank was replaced when they changed from feeding bioxide to an iron solution. The tubing from the storage tank to the PS is stainless steel. He had not noticed any problems at this PS. ***
On 2/21/14, MRT visited this PS (36.48437/-87.27315). The PS is located north of Cloud Dr down a steep drive with the area continuing to slope beyond the PS. There was no obvious leakage from the storage tank or the PS wet well. Recent rainfall in the area. One large tree appeared to be dead but this could be due to root damage during PS installation.
