Description and Writeup
DWR Columbia staff received a complaint from Nancy Westmoreland at 3 pm on 4/6/16 regarding land application of waste material from Blackjack Ridge Dairy potentially getting into Dog Creek, which runs by her house. She said that Dog Creek next to her home now appeared foamy, and that she was worried that it might be because of their spreading operation.
Chad Augustin (JCA) and Eddie Gordon (TEG) investigated the complaint on the morning of 4/7/16. Waste materials from Blackjack's waste spreading operation had entered a drainage to Byrd Branch. Nutrient and Bacti samples were taken of the discharge. Mr. Beard was informed of the findings.
