Complaint Description and Writeup
A Ms. Deena Smith of Sharon, TN sent a submission to Ask TDEC stating that her drinking water in Sharon contained a noticeable chlorine smell and taste. In addition to the chlorine odor, Ms. Smith claimed she was experiencing brown water. DWR reached out to Greg Evans, lead operator, to investigate the compliant. Mr. Evans explained to the state that Sharon was flushing as directed by their regular flushing program. Mr. Evans also took a water sample from Ms. Smith's home with a chlorine residual of 1.40. The state has contacted Ms. Smith but has not received a response.
