Complaint Description and Writeup
Complaint Description and Writeup
the creek looks bad again. There is a history in Houston Branch and specifically the west fork of Houston Branch of problems with algal blooms and black rocks. Two likely/past documented contributors are the runoff from the Shiloh Falls Development spray irrigation fields which enters Houston Branch via the eastern fork and dissolved manganese (possibly other metals) that are conveyed into the west Fork and further into Houston Branch as the west fork flows through a lake with a breached dam (Leisure Lake). The dam was built between 1990 and 1999 and was breached in approx. 2022.
