Complaint Description and Writeup
Complaint Description and Writeup
On September 5th, 2024, a compliant was made via Ask TDEC by an Angela Hawkins regarding ongoing construction affecting the Trezevant distribution. Due to road construction, several water mains were punctured. This led to a loss of pressure for several individuals. Mrs. Hawkins complained that her hot water heater was damaged due to this incident and that Trezevant water staff were not collecting samples in a timely manner to ensure the water was safe. DWR contacted Erik Grimes, the operator, and gathered information. Mr. Grimes is aware of the issue, has valved off these punctured lines, is actively making repairs, and plans to collect the required samples on 9/9/2024. Additionally, Mr. Grimes spoke directly with the complainant to apologize for the inconvenience and explain what he was doing to remedy the problem. Due to the ongoing actions taken by Trezevant water staff to address the issue in a timely manner, it is determined that this complaint is now closed.
