Complaint Description and Writeup
Complainant indicated that earth disturbing activities were taking place along the Elk River. Top soil was being scraped and piled up. The complainant was concerned the stockpiled dirt was going to be used to fill in nearby wetlands.
SAH investigated the site on 2011-10-03. As indicated by the complainant, top soil had been scraped and piled up. However, the total area of disturbance appeared to be less than one acre. The piles of dirt remained at the site, and there was no evidence the dirt was being used to fill in wetlands.
JCA contacted the City of Fayetteville to inform them that any additional disturbance would warrant coverage under the TNCGP.
