Description and Writeup
Mr. Chris Hook, Town of Mountain City reported the following 10-23-17 overflows: manhole A-7(240 Industrial Dr.), manhole A-48(behind Welcome Center), and cleanout (going to the Welcome Center Campground). A written report will be submitted to the Johnson City EFO. The report received on 10-30-17 indicated the overflows went from approximately 5:30-7:00 PM with estimated volumes of: manhole A-7 (135 gallons), manhole A-48 (450 gallons) and cleanout(180 gallons). The report indicated, "A heavy storm had hit this area and caused some flooding. We were made aware of the overflow at 6:19pm 10/23/17. City employees spoke with the home owner on Industrial Dr. letting them know that there would be someone coming back the next day to do clean up." The cleanup method was "rake, shovel and lime."
