Complaint Description and Writeup
3/22 Mr Dunagan called to report sewage surfacing in an area between two manholes in the city of Mc Ewen. Checked with Houston Howell, city of McEwen, the wet areas reported by Mr Dunagan is not caused by a leak in the sewer line. (3/26 DJE)
4/4 On site investigation
One area of interest was a wet area behind the bank on the south side of highway 70, west of the highway 70 and Bold Springs intersection. There are no sewer or water lines in the wetted area, this area is known historical to be wet. The speculation is the fill in the area to allow construction covered a well and /or a spring. There were no indications that this wetted area was the result of a sewer overflow.
The other area is a manhole on west side of Bold Springs road between highway 70 and Brather road. The standing water in the roadside drainage was above the elevation of the wastewater flow in the sewer. there was no indication of water leaking from or into the manhole. There were no indications that this wetted area was the result of a sewer overflow. (4/5 DJE)
