Description and Writeup
The proposed development by Roy E Smith has been turned down by the county twice already, and he is going before the county again tonight July 15th at 7pm. As you will see from the pictures, the water problem has not improved. The neighbors and myself are concerned about the damage this water is doing to our subdivision, along with all the erosion and silt that is being washed down into Honey Run Creek, which is a blue line creek.
TDEC informed the complainant that the existing development once had CGP coverage under permit # TNR24318, but has since been inactivated due to work being completed, the site is built out and stable and no longer under NPDES coverage. Whatever volume issues that may still exist from the site is now a civil matter between the two property owners. TDEC has no jurisdiction over a project in planning phase with no disturbance, so we recommend that the complainant discussed their concerns with the proposed development with the local planning commission.
