    Description and Writeup

Ms. Shelly Jacobs, reported that her toilets do not flush because of a blockage in the sewer line. Also, storm drains have been overflowing when it rains. She also inquired if a sewer schematic was available. Finally she indicated the Town had put a cap on the sewer pipe. Her father, Mr. David Jacobs owns the residence. Ms. Sandra Vance (SKV) advised Ms. Jacobs she would contact Mr. Chris Hook, Town of Mountain City and have him contact her. Mr. Hook indicated a broken cleanout cap was replaced by the Town on February 11, 2021 and an iron traffic box was placed over the cleanout to protect it. The sanitary sewer line was videoed from the cleanout to the Town's main sewer line. The video revealed that the Town's main sewer line was flowing freely. He advised Ms. Jacobs that the sanitary sewer line from the cleanout to her residence was the property owner's responsibility and gave her some plumbers' contact information. Also, the Town did work in the storm drains' area so that storm water flow would go directly to the storm drains. No sewer schematic is available for the residence. Mr. Hook advised he would contact Ms. Jacobs and explain the situation to her.
