Description and Writeup
Per an email to David Duhl dated 8-7-17, Mr. Connell said he noticed a strong smell of sewage coming from the Columbia STP discharge point in Duck River.
DAL met with Hal Haywood, chief WWTP Operator at Columbia STP on 8/8/17 at 11:15am. When asked about a strong sewage odor, he said they use a odor inhibitor on Thursday afternoons that is used to reduce the odor of their solids' dewatering process. They did use a different odor inhibitor which had a strong grape smell than the previous inhibitors. Nothing else could be identified as a possible issue. The discharge looked good during this visit without any odor.
