Complaint Description and Writeup
Complaint Description and Writeup
Complainant: Sewage has been spilling onto his property for years from four manholes. His child wants to play in his field/yard, and he wants to have horses. He has observed gray matter, needles, and condoms. Drainage ditch at times fills up. Runoff from manhole closest to RR track probably enters creek. He tried to get the town to clean up and fix problem. The town welded one? MH shut and overflows moved upgradient. He has heard there might be a 90-degree bend in the sewer that would cause back-up and overflows. He has talked to the Mayor, who is also head of the Water Board, a number of times. He doesn't plan to sue the town; he just wants this problem corrected.
Photos provided from 2015 (overflows began before then) and from 2018. Also provided a video.
2109: Mr. Terry continues to provide photos and videos of ongoing problem; multiple SSO's after rainfall continue to occur.
031819: Town of Oneida provided a letter documenting extensive cleaning, testing and maintenance on the sewer in this area. They are also requesting some relief to the moratorium. I have phoned Mr Terry for his assessment of the presence/absence of overflows on his property and if present his opinion of frequency/volume compared to the past.
