Complaint Description and Writeup
Complaint Description and Writeup
Browning Land and Cattle is on 150 acres of mostly hills and contains around 8000 head of cattle. They are operating without a CAFO permit which they have neglected to file for around a year now. The runoff from their cattle operation has completely destroyed the adjoining creeks and natural springs. There is no wildlife living in this creek. This creek has been used for recreational purposes for years . It was known for its swimming holes and fishing spots but the manure and feeding waste runoff has created high levels of E.Coli and ammonia. We are having to warn visitors to stay out of the creek for health reasons. After every rain the runoff smells just like the sewer and the creeks run black. There has no fish for a year now.
E. mail to Ms. Carlisle regarding the last NOV. the site has been referred for enforcement.
